WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?
You’ll probably be familiar with Sports Coaches and how they help individuals or teams improve their sports performance by instructing them on what to improve.
Well, a Life Coach is a little different in that I work one-on-one with you so that you achieve your personal goals. One of the fundamental differences is as Life Coach, I look to you as the subject matter expert on yourself. An analogy is my role is to hold the torch for you so that you can go digging in search of your solutions. If you were to get stuck, I’m able to offer suggestions for you to explore. It’s always you who is in charge what to work on during a session and what actions you decide to take away from the session.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL IT TAKE?
It’s really going to depend on you and the size of your goal. While it is entirely possible to have a profound shift in a single session. Often there may be some new habits you want to put in place to help you achieve your goal. Putting a new habit in place and getting it to the point that it becomes habitual for you can take time. In a study by Phillippa Lally, a health psychology researcher at University College London. Phillippa found that on average it takes about 66 days for someone to form or change a habit.
CODE OF ETHICS
As a Coach I hold to the code of ethical practice established by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
I invite you to book a FREE 30-minute Zoom call with me. For a relaxed chat to get to know each other a little. Discuss what you’d like to work on and find out if coaching would work for you.
